Our foundation
BRMAPH Guiding Philosophy
BRMAPH exists to continue the philosophy of Boxer Rebellion International: personal revolution through martial arts training. The rebellion we teach is not rebellion against authority, tradition, instructors, organizations, or other martial arts. It is an internal rebellion against fear, weakness, limiting beliefs, ineffective habits, and rigid thinking. Through disciplined and functional martial-arts training, every student is encouraged to undergo personal transformation. A Boxer is not defined only by a particular fighting style. A Boxer is a person who chooses to confront personal limitations and develop greater skill, confidence, discipline, awareness, adaptability, and character. Following the multicultural spirit of Jeet Kune Do and the example of Boxer Rebellion International, BRMAPH draws from effective methods found in Jeet Kune Do, Filipino Martial Arts, Western boxing, Muay Thai, Savate, kickboxing, self-defence, and other practical combat systems. BRMAPH does not preserve techniques merely because they are traditional, popular, or visually impressive. Every method must be examined through honest training and retained according to its usefulness, simplicity, directness, and functionality. This philosophy shall guide BRMAPH’s identity, instruction, student development, training programs, evaluations, manuals, certifications, leadership, and future growth.
